S.W.A.T is designed to help spiritually train and equip teens in a fun and Godly atmosphere to the Glory of God. S.W.A.T seeks to help youth share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, and foster social change, participate in the sacraments, develop a personal spirituality and prayer life, apply Biblical faith to daily life, integrate Biblical values, participate in the Church, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
By grace, we are created, called and chosen for God’s Kingdom. With Jesus as our head of our church and at the core of our ministry, our mission is to: Explore truth: to dialogue, learn, teach and live the biblical story of God and what it means to be a follower of Jesus (John 14:6; Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:14-17) Express faith: to strategically and intentionally respond to the Great Commission; to passionately engage locally and globally in social action, service, evangelism, missions and embracing others into the Kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:12, 16; Colossians 4:3-6; 1 Peter 3:15; Revelations 7:9-17) Experience God: to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength as we worship Him through all that we are and do (Luke 10:27; Acts 17:28; Ephesians 3:14-21; Hebrews 12:28-29)
Princess Diaries Purity Ministry
Ages 12 -18 - Purity exists to help youth and children discover and creatively express their God given passion with purity of motive thought and action; by embracing Godly Principles presented in a variety of ways and context. Motto: Embracing Your Purity Theme Text: 1Timothy 4: 12 Core Values - Purity, Integrity, Discipline,Excellence and Godliness. Embracing Your Purity” Purity in thoughts, motive, actions and sexuality is a major aspect of our mandate as these days our youths are being devoured by drugs, sexual immorality and other negative influences. The solution we seek to provide must be long lasting and positive. We will teach our boys and girls the positives of abstinence and how to be proud of their God-given purity. Purity embraces Godly principles, values and integrity and encourages a spirit of excellence in order to fulfill our mandate. We give credence to 1Timothy 4:12 (NIV); our Theme Text,"… Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example in speech, life, love, faith and in purity…. Do not neglect your gift.” I We believe that youths should be developed in all dimensions – spiritual, physical, emotional, social and intellectual. We seek to help them to identify and resist those things that are meant to sap their creative energies and prevent them from maximizing their potential.
Boys To Men Mentoring
Ages 11-18 - Boys II Men is a mentoring program that is aimed at providing structure and guidance to impressionable young men, while developing in them social skills, respect for authority, and a reverence for God.Our mission is to encourage, challenge and equip men to make a difference by becoming a godly inlfuence in the lives of their sons and the many fatherless boys in our churches and neighborhoods, helping them to become men of character and integrity.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE as a mentor. Every boy needs a man he can count on and look up to as a role model and mentor. Ideally, that man is his father, but when there is no father in the home, a mentor needs to step into that boy's life to help fill that gap.
